The Singapore International Photography Festival (SIPF) announces its 10th landmark edition, running from 16 October 2026 to 31 January 2027. Guided by the overarching theme “In My End Is My Beginning”—drawn from T.S. Eliot’s Four Quartets—this milestone edition celebrates 18 years of SIPF as Southeast Asia’s premier photography platform, reflecting on the medium as a continually evolving proposition between memory and forgetting, document and fiction, evidence and interpretation.

Festival Highlights include the anchor exhibition Shifting Images: Photography from Singapore (2000 — 2025). A multi-venue survey traces 25 years of Singaporean photographic practice through 47 artists. Rather than a linear timeline or static survey, Shifting Images unfolds as a constellation of seven thematic group exhibitions across partner spaces, examining shared concerns, shifting technologies, and evolving identity. Another one is a solo focus, with Singapore Index by Tan Pin Pin at Shop-House by Deck, presenting a rare selection of 63 photographs made by acclaimed filmmaker and artist Tan Pin Pin in 1991 and 1992.

Continuing SIPIF’s mission to be an international exchange, the 10th SIPF Open Call Portfolio Showcase features 20 portfolios from 16 countries, each one showing a distinct vantage point into preoccupations and imaginative reach of contemporary image-making. The 10th SIPF Open Call Photobook Showcase celebrates the photobook as a living platform for image-makers, a medium where personal, political, and cultural anecdotes find their voice through the intimate turn of a page. It will show a selection of 41 shortlisted entries from over 37 countries.
